Dewey Beach Girls Getaway: The Perfect Bachelorette Weekend Itinerary
If you’re planning a girls’ getaway or bachelorette weekend at the beach, Dewey Beach should absolutely be on your list.
This fun little beach town has the perfect mix of relaxation, beach time, amazing food, live music, bars, brunch, and nightlife—all within walking distance. Whether you want a laid-back girls’ trip by the ocean or a full-on bachelorette weekend with brunch, boat drinks, and dancing until midnight, Dewey Beach gives you the best of both worlds.
One of the best parts? You can walk almost everywhere—from your hotel to the beach, restaurants, bars, and even over to Rehoboth Beach for even more fun.
We recently planned the ultimate girls’ weekend in Dewey Beach, and these were our favorite stops for the perfect itinerary.
Start Your Trip with a Tiki Boat Cruise
There is honestly no better way to kick off your girls’ trip than with a private tiki cruise aboard Good Vibes Tiki Cruises.
This was easily one of the highlights of our trip!
We brought along a cooler full of adult beverages, snacks, and all the ingredients for Orange Crushes, and the captain and first mate handled everything from there. They mixed drinks, took photos, shared fun local stories, rolled out the “red carpet” (aka the floating mat), and even let the bride-to-be steer the boat.
It felt private, fun, relaxed, and completely stress-free.
Their season runs from May 1 through November 2, and they cruise 7 days a week with six 2-hour cruises daily. They can accommodate as few as 2 guests and up to 30 people across two tiki boats, making it perfect for everything from a small girls’ trip to a full bachelorette party.
Even better? The tiki boats have TVs onboard, so it’s also a fun option for game days in the fall.
Book a Private Beach Yoga Session
Start your morning with your toes in the sand and the sound of the ocean in the background. Dewey Beach Yoga offers private party yoga sessions right on the beach, which makes for such a fun and unique girls’ trip activity. It’s the perfect way to balance out all the brunches, cocktails, and late nights.
They also host public classes and special events throughout the season, including popular Full Moon Yoga sessions during the summer.
Walk to the Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk
One of the best things about staying in Dewey Beach is how close you are to Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk—just about a mile away, making it an easy beach stroll, bike ride, or quick drive.
The boardwalk is packed with classic beach town fun and makes the perfect daytime stop between brunch and nightlife. Spend the afternoon riding the rides at Funland, a longtime favorite with rides, arcade games, and nostalgic boardwalk charm.
You can also stop by Rehoboth Beach Bandstand for free summer concerts and live entertainment, challenge your group to rooftop mini golf with ocean views, or hit the arcades for skee-ball and prize games.
Of course, no boardwalk visit is complete without the food. Grab famous vinegar fries from Thrasher’s French Fries, saltwater taffy and caramel popcorn from Dolle’s Candyland, or a slice from Grotto Pizza. If you’re craving something sweet, frozen custard from Kohr Brothers Frozen Custard is always a good idea.
Make Dinner an Experience with Hibachi Omakase
If you’re celebrating a birthday or bachelorette weekend, dinner should feel like an event—not just a reservation.
Rehoboth Hibachi Omakase brings the full hibachi experience to you for a private dinner that feels equal parts luxury and party.
They handle everything, and yes—you should absolutely be prepared for the famous sake gun.
It’s dinner and a show all in one, and it makes for some unforgettable group memories.
Grab Local Brews at Dewey Beer Co.
For a more casual stop, head over to Dewey Beer Co..
This local favorite is known for creative craft beers, great food, and a fun atmosphere that works just as well for lunch as it does for happy hour.
It’s a great place to relax before heading out for the evening, and their rotating beer selection makes it worth stopping in more than once during your trip.
Plan a Sunset Beach Photo Shoot
Golden hour in Dewey Beach is seriously beautiful.
Head to the beach at dusk for sunset photos—you’ll definitely want these memories captured.
We recommend coordinating fun outfits like matching pink pajamas, swimsuits, or themed bachelorette outfits to really make the photos pop against those incredible sunset colors.
It’s simple, free, and ends up being one of everyone’s favorite parts of the trip.
Spend the Night at The Starboard
You really can’t talk about Dewey Beach nightlife without mentioning The Starboard.
This iconic spot is famous for live music, summer parties, and a nightlife scene that keeps people coming back year after year.
During the summer, they offer live music on weekends plus Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday nights.
If your girls’ trip includes dancing, drinks, and a little chaos—in the best way possible—this is your place.
Don’t Skip Sunday Brunch
Before heading home, make sure you save time for Sunday brunch at The Starboard.
Their brunch is legendary for a reason.
They serve an award-winning menu and their world-famous Bloody Marys are practically a Dewey Beach tradition.
It’s the perfect final stop before checkout.
More Great Places to Eat, Drink, and Celebrate in Dewey Beach
If you have a little extra time during your girls’ getaway, these are some of our favorite spots to add to your Dewey Beach itinerary. Whether you’re looking for sunset cocktails, live music, waterfront dinner views, or a wild night out, Dewey definitely delivers.
Bottle & Cork
Bottle & Cork is basically a Dewey Beach rite of passage if your group loves live music, dancing, and that classic beach bar party vibe.
It’s loud, crowded, fun, and exactly what you expect from a true Dewey night out. The open-air setup makes it perfect for groups, and it definitely leans into the “girls’ weekend chaos” energy—in the best way.
Their famous Saturday Jam Sessions are a huge summer favorite, with multiple rotating cover bands playing from 5 PM until 1 AM. If your group wants a night of dancing, singing along, and late-night memories, this is the spot.
You’ll want to grab tickets online ahead of time, especially during peak summer season!
Where to Stay in Dewey Beach for a Girls’ Getaway
One of the best things about planning a girls’ trip to Dewey Beach is that staying close to everything is easy.
If you’re traveling with a bigger group for a bachelorette weekend or girls’ getaway, renting a beach house is usually the best option. It’s often the most economical choice once you split the cost, and it also gives everyone more space to hang out, get ready together, and keep the fun going after brunch or a night out.
There are plenty of vacation rentals within walking distance of the beach, restaurants, bars, and all the main attractions, which makes the whole trip super easy to plan without needing to constantly drive.
And if you don’t feel like walking in heels after dinner or a night at Bottle & Cork or The Starboard, Uber is always just a quick tap away.
For smaller groups, couples trips, or shorter weekend stays, a hotel can definitely be the easier option.
Two of our top hotel recommendations are Surf Club Oceanfront Hotel, which offers beachfront views and an ideal location right near the action, and Hyatt Place Dewey Beach, which is a great option for modern rooms, included buffet breakfast, and easy access to both Dewey and Rehoboth Beach.
Final Thoughts on Planning a Dewey Beach Girls’ Weekend
No matter which option you choose, the biggest tip is simple: stay close enough to walk. That’s what makes a Dewey Beach girls’ weekend feel easy, fun, and completely stress-free.
Whether you’re celebrating a bride-to-be, planning a birthday weekend, or just need a much-deserved girls’ escape, Dewey Beach makes it so easy to plan a fun and memorable trip.
You get beautiful beaches, amazing brunch spots, walkable nightlife, fun group activities, sunset photo ops, and plenty of places to celebrate—all without needing to drive all over town.
Honestly, it’s one of the best East Coast beach towns for a girls’ getaway.
And once you go, you’ll probably already be planning your next trip back.
